I am a elite division player and I was lucky enough to pack toty Hakimi from the Ligue 1 premium upgrades. My first thoughts were immediately to try him out in my midfield and boy did he deliver...
Pace, dribling, passing, defending, good stamina and shooting, he literally is the perfect box to box midfielder with zero flaws. Here are my thoughts after playing 12 games of rivals with Hakimi.
Well where do i start?
* Pace: He feels incredible, can catch up or run from any player (Yes that even means toty Mbappe who i faced twice)
* Dribling: Is also insane, feels super agile and is great at turning while running as well, nothing needed to be touched in this area
* Shooting: This is probably the thing that surprised me the might about the card, you look at the 80 shot and you might think that it looks decent but i can tell its anything but that. The amount of goals i scored with him really surprised me, especially since a majority of them came from outside the box. When you hit it from long range his shots always seem to dip and aim for the top corner of the net. This even made me think about trying him at st but i feel like his defensive abilities gets wasted there.
*Passing: Perfect for a midfielder, can make any type of pass, nothing else to say really.
Defending: Amazing once again. His aerial ability is surprisingly good where he wins a decent amount of his headers and is great at tracking back, fights for the badge and wins pretty much any battle with the opponents players. This combined with his pace and stamina is what makes him so effective in the box to box position.
*Psysical: Can run all game long and you feel the aggression and strength when you challenge your opponents for the ball.
* 3* sm and 4* wf: You literally dont need the 3* sm for him since his dribling is top tier you can left stick dribble around all your opponents player with ease. He can use both of his feet without any problems so that is perfect for his position.
This card is amazing. I was lucky enough to pack him in the 81x11 defender pack and he has been world class in every game I have played. I have played 15 games with him as of writing this and I can say for a fact he will not be leaving for a long time. I have used him in RCM with mixed tactics. He can dribble through the whole team and get a goal as well an assist. If you are getting counter attacked, you can put trust in him to catch up and save yourself conceding.
He is that fast he can catch any player in the game without a doubt.
His shooting is surprisingly great, with the outside the foot trait anything within 20 yards of goal goes in.
His dribbling has been the best out of any card I have used
The Defending and Physical is also amazing, I don't know how many times it saved me
With his 4 star weak foot, it feels the same as his preferred foot.
He might not be the tallest but wow can he win a header
This guy is an absolute speed demon. I played him as a RM in-game in a 3-5-2 with a Sentinel (as he had 6 chemistry at LB) and he is the best player for this position.
His pace is perfect - both acceleration and sprint speed - and can catch up to any attacker and sprint through behind any defender. Despite the medium defensive work rate, the amount of times he has tracked back to help defend attacks down the opponents left wing have helped stop a number of counter attacks.
His passing is perfect, crossing is insane with this card and I often switch the play from RM to LM which he does with perfect precision. He also has no difficulties sending my strikers through the middle with a weighted lofted through ball.
He has incredible finishing inside the box, combined with his explosive pace and good attacking positioning means he is a real goal threat for me running in from the right wing although I would recommend shooting with power rather than finesse shots as his shot power seems a lot higher than the stat says.
Despite the 3* skill moves, his dribbling is silky and using agile dribbling lets him glide past defenders; his strength on the ball makes it tough for the opponents defenders to win back possession.
His defending is amazing he intercepts lots of attempted passes to opponents' left wingers and he can sprint back to defend and get in a last minute tackle to prevent goals. Combined with his surprising strength, he is more than usable as a CB which I have done after making some substitutions.
His physicality makes him a beast, with stamina to last the whole match and extra time if needed and he rarely loses a 50-50 header, even scoring a few for me from corners as well!
Overall, one of the most well-rounded cards in the game with incredible stats and feels even better in game. If you can afford him, he is the perfect wide midfield player and full back, as well as a beast at CB or central midfield. Although I love using skill moves, this card is powerful enough with 3* skill moves, and some basic roulettes and ball rolls with his incredible dribbling stats are more than enough to send opponents defenders to the shops.
Achraf Hakimi is just incredible. There is nothing else to say about him. I have played him in both the CB and RB position, and he has been the best defender on the field. His speed is RAPID, defending is CRACKED, Passing is 5G, and his traits are 10/10. You need to buy this card and fit him into your team.
Last year I got used to using the 5212 tactic and decided to give it a try this week just for fun.
I play this tactic with full backs in "join attack" setup, and I thought of Hakimi for the right flank.
The result is unbeatable: a complete monster going up and down the wing like a beast all game. Unbeatable in defence because of his top speed, acceleration, agility and strength. A delight to use manually. And in attack, 9 assists in 10 Fut Champions matches (Not offensive winning in second half). Hakimi slips stealthily like lightning behind the full-backs to receive high triangles with the whole field in front of him, or overcoming opponents in the 1-on-1 with dribbles and electrifying starts, to hang precise crosses or invade the area from the side looking for team-mates to push it in.
In short, if you like the surprise factor of attacking full-backs, this is the man for you.
I play 4-4-2 with the LCM on stay back and the RCM on balanced. I've played Hakimi in that RCM box to box role with a Sniper. His Pace is maxed out and he doesn't need more than 90 defending and physical for the box to box role. You want to boost the dribbling for thar role so your options is a Guardian for the defending or Sniper for the shooting and I chose Sniper.
You could play this card in the stay back role on the midfield but I chose to use him as the box to box role. He's quite perfect for both.
Considering I use Sniper which boost his dribbling to quite great stats for a CM, I'm a bit disappointed with the dribbling. It didn't fett as smooth as you would expect. The servers was shit this weekend so it's a but difficult to rate that though.
Overall he is just a great card that you can use however you can in the midfield and defense. He's not super amazing, but really really good.
Versatility
All round
You can boost whatever you want really as Pace is already maxed out. You basically always have to go with Shadow on a CM but whit this card you can boost whatever you feel like is his weakness.
Medium defensive workrate
3*SM (I'm fine with that on my CMs but you want 4*)
